This is a set of replacement tail light and front marker light bulb socket gaskets. These are designed to fit 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and Comanche MJ but its a pretty standard size found on many vehicles of the era so these should work for many others as well, especially any other AMC, Chrysler, and Dodge vehicles. The original foam gaskets are usually deteriorated and leaking these days so be sure to get replacements to keep the insides of your housings clean and dry. The kit includes either 6, 8, or 10 gaskets depending on the selection.
The options are:
- 6-pack for the tail lights only on a 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee or Comanche
- 8-pack for the tail lights and marker lights on a 1984-1996 Jeep Cherokee or Comanche
- 10-pack for the tail lights and marker lights on a 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee
These replacements are made with a chemical resistant foam that can handle extreme temperatures both hot and cold without failing or degrading. These will survive any environment a vehicle can go. These can also be used to replace rubber gaskets if they have a similar flat design.
To install simply remove the tail light housings and pull out the bulb sockets. Peel off the old gaskets and stretch the new ones into place. The first few times installing the bulb sockets with the new gaskets it will take some force to get them into place. This is good and will ensure a tight seal, as time goes on they will loosen up some but will still maintain a tight seal.
