These are replacement rubber flaps for the cab vents on the MJ. They will fit any 1986-1992 Jeep Comanche. The cab vents open for air to release when the door is being shut, this allows the door to close easily as well as to passively allow some air to move in and out of the cab. Today, the originals are usually stuck, rotten, and destroyed as shown in the comparison photos. This can cause excessive wind noise and allow water to enter the cab, which can easily destroy your floor over a short period of time. Check your floor pans for rust before its too late!!
These are handmade to be an exact fit to the OEM cab vent frame. They are the same thickness and external dimensions as the originals and slip right onto the frame. Due to them being handmade and made to order, please allow time for cutting and shipping.
INSTALLATION:
Just pull the old ones off and set the new ones in place then stretch the holes over the plastic nubs on the rear of the vent frame. The originals may have become stuck to the frame so you may have to peal them off. Do not glue or otherwise chemically bond the new ones to the frame, the mounting nubs are designed to hold them in place.
The rubber has an operating temperature range of -55*F to 300*F so it should work properly and stay flexible in pretty much all environments.
ONLY COMES WITH THE RUBBER VENT FLAPS, the plastic frames are not included. I reproduce the plastic frames as well so if you need those, save me as a seller as I will be posting them for sale on eBay soon!
