This is a pair of spacers for the sun visors in the Jeep XJ Cherokee and MJ Comanche although these should fit in many other vehicles. These space the sun visors down slightly to fix alignment issues and allow for a thicker headliner material. Many headliners are recovered with thicker fabric and these spacers will help remove those ugly creases and bunching around the sun visor mounts. These can also be used to create more space between the sun visor and the ceiling for more storage or help prevent a vanity mirror from leaving a depression in the headliner.
The spacers are 3/16″ thick and cut out of ABS plastic. One side will be smooth and the other textured, it doesn’t matter which direction these face. The factory sun visor screws should still be long enough to use with the spacers. Spacers can be stacked if more space is needed, however stacking spacers will require longer screws (not included).
Installation:
– Remove the three screws holding in the sun visor and pull the sun visor off
– Place the spacer against the roof, sliding it into the headliner hole rather than placing directly over it
– Replace the sun visor and reattach the screws
– The exact placement of the spacer should be adjusted to get the desired results
***DISCLAIMER***
– These are cut from ABS sheet plastic and the thickness will be roughly 3/16″ thick.
– This is cut from sheet plastic on a CNC machine. I do not accept returns due to it being made to order, however If you have an issue with your part, please contact me and we can work out the issue together.
– Be sure not to overtighten screws and squish or bend the plastic. These should take a considerable amount of force but it’s still recommended to install with hand tools rather than power tools.
